Mrs Irene Stanbury Dip COT and Mr Henry Stanbury CQSW ASW are the registered providers; with Irene being the Registered Manager.

Elmslea was founded in 1995 by the current providers when they decided to put their joint 50 years worth of experience and expertise into helping those suffering from mental illness, or a mild learning disability to more fully achieve their true potential, within a family and community setting, using Maslow’s ‘Hierarchy of Need’.

Both Henry and Irene have extensive experience of working in the care sector; Henry gained a CQSW and worked for 25 years initially as a probation officer and then as a psychiatric social worker. Irene gained her Dip COT and worked for the same period as an occupational therapist and Manager.

Both have experience in personal and family counselling, with various awards and certifications. Both continue to increase their knowledge and expertise by attending relevant courses, and training, including verified distance learning and promote this with the development of their staff.
